Orca, a free, open source, flexible, and extensible screen reader that provides access to the graphical desktop via speech and refreshable Braille, is now at version 3.9.3.

Orca works with applications and toolkits that support the Assistive Technology Service Provider Interface (AT-SPI), which is the primary assistive technology infrastructure for Linux and Solaris.

Highlights of Orca 3.9.3:

• Structural navigation support has been added for Evince documents; • A traceback, that occurred when switching back to the English profile, has been fixed; • The accessible apps commandline option has been fixed; • The braille-monitor checkbox has been removed from the GUI.

A complete backlog of updates and bug fixes can be found in the GNOME repository.

Download Orca 3.9.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
