Just yesterday, the Renault-Nissan Alliance announced that it had entered an agreement with telecommunications giant Orange. As part of this agreement, the Alliance is to provide the corporation with as many as 200 EVs.

Information shared with the public says that this fleet is to include the following car models: the Nissan LEAF, the Renault ZOE subcompact, the recently launched Nissan e-NV200, and the Renault Kangoo Z.E. van.

Telecommunications giant Orange is to come into possession of the environmentally friendly four-wheelers by the end of 2020. Besides, the Alliance will help it install several charging stations meant to provide the vehicles with power.

The 200 EVs are to be used by Orange employees in France. More precisely, folks working for the corporation will be able to book them either for professional or personal use, either online or via a smartphone.

“We believe that the use of electric vehicles needs to be encouraged both professionally and privately,” Hélène Billon with Orange explained the decision to acquire these green vehicles from the Renault-Nissan Alliance.

“Therefore, this agreement with the Renault-Nissan Alliance contributes to helping us meet our commitment to a 20% reduction in our CO2 footprint by 2020,” the Orange Facilities & Mobility Management Director went on to say.
