A new mobile phone is expected to soon arrive on Orange UK's offering, namely the Sony Ericsson Zylo. Officially announced in early April, the Sony Ericsson Zylo is one of the latest additions to the Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker's Walkman series. In addition to boasting enhanced music capabilities, already popular for Sony Ericsson's Walkman family, the new Zylo also sports social networking capabilities, enabling users easily stay connected with friends or family via Twitter, or Facebook.

The new Sony Ericsson Zylo comes to the market with a human curvature design, while being packed with some of the most appealing music features from the handset vendor. “Whatever music you like, fill your Sony Ericsson Zylo Walkman phone, pop in your headphones and drift away. There’s also an FM radio and with TrackID music recognition you can find songs names. Plus, there's plenty of storage space with up to 16GB external memory. It’s not all about music, though: keep in touch with social networks or upload your photos taken on the 3.15-megapixel camera,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

The new Sony Ericsson Zylo has been already listed on Orange UK's coming soon page. The mobile phone measures 103 x 11.5 x 52 mm and weighs in at 115 grams, while being powered by a battery capable of delivering up to 4 hours of talk time or up to 16 days of standby time. The new Walkman device comes with an enhanced music player and FM radio RDS, while including 260 MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot that can offer up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The handset's specifications list also includes a 3.15-megapixel camera, support for quad band frequencies, 3G HSDPA 7.2 and Bluetooth connectivity options, speakerphone, accelerometer, MMS capabilities, Orange Widgets, Orange Music Store, Orange App Store, and others more. Unfortunately, no specific details on the phone's pricing emerged for the time being. The Sony Ericsson Zylo can be seen on Orange's coming soon page here.
