Wireless carrier Orange UK has just been named as the leading mobile broadband provider in the country, a recently performed survey from independent research company YouGov shows. This is not the first time when Orange's broadband service is seen as the top one in the UK, and the new survey showed that the carrier scored highest in seven categories out of fifteen, including customer services and reliability, or ‘ease of use’ and ‘upload speeds’.

The mobile phone operator has in store a wide selection of mobile broadband and connected laptops in the UK, as well as other devices, such as two dongles it launched in November 2009, the Orange e1752 and the Option 515M. Among the laptops available at the moment for Orange's users, we can count the new Asus 1005HGO and the embedded Compaq CQ61, both of which come to the market with Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system.

“Retaining our position as the top mobile broadband provider in the UK is a great accomplishment which we’re really proud of. This win is recognition of our strong focus on network quality and brilliant customer service and its our aim to build on these, as well as the products and services we offer, to ensure our customers continue to benefit from a high quality user experience,” Asif Aziz, director of Broadband and Home, Orange UK, stated.

Orange's 3G network offers coverage for around 93 percent of the population in the UK, the wireless carrier notes. Moreover, the company also says that it is continuously investing in its network, so as to make sure that it can keep at pace with demand for connectivity and the necessary quality of network, products, service and experience.

YouGov Dongle Tracker survey in October 2009 also placed Orange's mobile broadband at the top of the list. The categories in which Orange ranked first include: Installation, Getting connected, Staying connected, Reliability during the day, Reliability during in the evening, Upload speeds, Ease of use, Customer services, and Billing. Additional details on the carrier's offering in the area can be found on its website.
