For all the music maniacs

Orange UK seems to be a pretty fast carrier at least when it comes to release some of the newest announced handsets. Sony Ericsson has unveiled the W880i Walkman cellphone only about twenty days ago and the UK based mobile operator is already offering it to its pay-per-month customers.

This handset sports a main 2 megapixel digital camera with camcorder capabilities, a secondary VGA one for video calls, Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo A2DP profile, Memory Stick Micro memory expansion card slot with a 1 GB card included, 3G and GPRS technologies, 16 MB of internal memory, Java MIDP 2.0 technology so you can play all the latest games, a 1.8 inch 256k colors TFT display with a 240x320 resolution, Email and Instant Messaging, flight mode, TrackID music recognition, a picture blogging feature and Sony Ericsson's Walkman Player 2.0.

As it is shown in the pictures, Orange UK has published on its website this handset that will come in Flame Black color.

I don't know yet if the info they have on the W880i is to be trusted but, if they haven't mistaken some of the figures on the phone's spec sheet, it seems this handset will not have many fans with its only 2.5 hours of talk time and a single day of standby.

Hopefully, they got that wrong because it would be a pity to have this phone so fast on the retailers' shelves and not buy it due to its lack of power resources.

As you can see for yourself on the Orange UK website, the W880i is free, if you are ready to sign for a hefty 35 ? plan per month.

If you think that is quite a lot of money to put down each month I agree with you, and I suggest you to go for the 299 ? price without signing any kind of contract (that is about 560 $).
