Furthermore, the smartphone is also available on PAYG (pay as you go), but customers will have to pay £99 (155 USD or 115 EUR), including the £10 top-up, upfront.
The Orange San Francisco II is a fairly decent smartphone, which comes with a large 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports 262k colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, it provides access to more than 300,000 app and games via Android Market. Additionally, it comes pre-loaded with Google’s services and apps, including Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Talk.
The smartphone is equipped with a low-budget 800 MHz processor and packs 512 MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB).
On the back, the phone sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, while on the front side there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.
The second device about to make its debut in the UK, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover is expected to hit shelves next month.
According to the folks over at SoMobile, the Galaxy Xcover can now be pre-ordered via Handtek UK for a decent £225 (350 USD or 260 EUR) unlocked and SIM free.
Samsung Galaxy Xcover is a rugged Android smartphone, which is IP67 certified for dust and water proof (up to 1m for 30 minutes).
The device is powered by a similar 800 MHz processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, along with TouchWiz user interface on top.
It also sports a large 3.65-inch capacitive touchscreen with support for 16 million colors and 320 x 480 pixels resolution, which is protected by Gorilla Glass display.
