Today, wireless carrier Orange UK announced officially that it would come to the market with a series of new devices aimed at the company's broadband users, including its first Mobile WiFi device, the Novatel Wireless 3352, as well as the Samsung N150 Netbook. Moreover, the company announced the introduction of three new SIM Only tariffs for mobile customers, and a refresh to its mobile broadband offering.

“Rewarding users with best value, all Orange customers, whether on pay monthly, pay as you go or on Orange home broadband – receive a £5 discount on mobile broadband plans, giving them the flexibility to surf, email and post updates wherever they are,” the company announced.

According to the wireless carrier, it decided to re-introduce the 12 month price plans on new Dolphin and Racoon packages.

On the one and 12 month Dolphin plans, users would be able to enjoy 1GB monthly allowance. Users also have the possibility to opt for additional 1GB “quiet time” data allowance (from midnight until 4pm), in addition to the option to get unlimited data through BT OpenZone public WiFi.

For occasional mobile broadband users, the wireless carrier has in store the Orange Racoon packages, with 500MB on one and 12 month plans, or with the pay as you consume option that costs 5p for each megabyte of data.

Also today, Orange announced the launch of Novatel Wireless 3352, its first Mobile WiFi device, enabling users to connect to its airwaves a number of no less than five devices at the same time (laptops, music players, games consoles, digital cameras and tablets).

“Requiring no USB connections or wires, Orange customers can now create a portable 3G WiFi hotspot for all their WiFi gadgets, at the touch of a button,” the wireless carrier notes.

The new device is available for on all Orange mobile broadband plans, with a price tag starting at £49, depending on the chosen package.

As for the SIM Only offering Orange has put in place for its users, we can count a number of three new Canary animal tariffs, the first time the carrier makes available for its users 12 month SIM Only contracts.

The new plans include:

30 day £10 SIM Only plan – 100 minutes and unlimited texts 12 month £10 SIM Only plan – 300 minutes and unlimited texts 12 month £15 SIM Only plan – 600 minutes and unlimited texts

The Samsung N150 netbook was made available for purchase at Orange too today, with an embedded SIM and 11 hours of battery life.

The specs list of this device include 1GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, along with an exclusive mat black finish, so as to offer both style and power to Orange's customers.

The Samsung N150 was put on sale on two 24 month price plans: For £25 a month plus a £80 upfront fee, customers enjoy 1GB anytime and 1GB quiet time plus 100 texts For £30 a month plus a £50 upfront fee, customers enjoy 1GB anytime and 1GB quiet time plus 100 text and unlimited WiFi

“At Orange, we’re always looking at ways to meet the ever-changing demands of our new and existing customers,” Simeon Bird, Director of Propositions at Orange, stated.

“We believe our new mobile broadband and SIM Only offerings do just that by enabling customers to stay connected – whether by calls and text – or by surfing the internet, email or through social networking sites.”
