Usually when 2 heavy names battle there are two big possibilities: something very bad and nasty follows or something really great and beneficial comes out. Well, this time is the second choice, the good one as two of America's strongest names somehow battle.

Peavey have been for a long time one of the most respected names in instrument manufacturers' world across the planet and still they rule supreme when it comes to the heritage they carry on. On the other hand, their opponent is a very strong one as well, in the most true
meaning of word: Orange County Choppers, teaming up Paul Teutul Sr., Paulie and Mickey Teutul. I guess there is no need to introduce to you the OCC as they have become known at planetary scale due to their reality show on TLC and Discovery Channel.

Well, Peavey (with an extremely powerful Custom Shop division) challenged the OCC into a contest based on the ultimate customizing skills from each team: while Peavey have promised to build a motorcycle-themed exceptional guitar, OCC must make a motorbike having Peavey guitars as central design theme.

The whole thing started as the OCC put up some band of their own and started playing for fun in their garage; they already had a lot of Peavey gear and as things grew more serious they decided to take a step further and ask Peavey for a full sponsorship. Putting Hartley Peavey and Paul Teutul Sr. next to each other, both parties noticed that there are many similarities between the two companies' presidents, so from here on things went almost by themselves.

Custom bike vs. custom guitar

Soon we're expecting press pictures with the two pieces of gear, the OCC guitar, all made in the custom bike tradition and the Peavey motorcycle, reportedly sporting a guitar amp and cranking it as well... after all, what better proof could anyone want that these years that rock'n'roll and motorcycles have always been tightly bound to each other?
