Orange announced that it has extended its Business Everywhere range of connectivity solutions with a HSDPA data modem and two HSDPA PC data cards. The Orange iCON2 USB modem, GT 3G+ Triband and GT MAX PC data
cards are produced by Option and are expected to give Business Everywhere customers faster wireless access speeds and an improved experience when accessing the Internet and corporate networks on the go. The combination of Orange’s HSDPA, 3G and EDGE networks, coupled with new Advanced Radio Technology signaling technology from Option, will ensure faster connectivity, less interference and a more reliable signal.

"Our Business Everywhere range has achieved impressive sales growth over the last two years, as we’ve invested in the best new devices and our unique connection software," comments Philippe Bernard, executive vice president, Orange Business Solutions. "We are first to market with this new suite of devices, ensuring our customers benefit from the most innovative new products on the market, and demonstrating our ongoing commitment to innovation and customer choice."

The iCON2 is a pocket-sized USB modem which can be connected directly into the USB port of any laptop or desktop PC, while the GT 3G+ Triband and GT MAX data cards can be used with any PCMCIA-enabled laptop. All the products provide HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS connectivity. Option is selling the products in other markets under different names, such as the GlobeSurfer iCON 7.2, the GlobeTrotter HSDPA 7.2 and GlobeTrotter GT Max 7.2 respectively.

The iCON2 USB modem will be lunched by Orange starting from July in Spain and France, followed by Poland, UK, Switzerland, Romania, Slovakia, Netherlands and Belgium. The GT 3G+ Triband data card will be available to Orange customers in Spain and France, while the GT MAX data card will be available in Poland , Belgium, Slovakia and UK, also starting from July.
