Oracle CEO Mark Hurd is one of the executives said to be in the race for Microsoft’s CEO seat, with many pointing out that he even made the short list along with Ford boss Alan Mulally and former Nokia chief Stephen Elop.

But as far as Hurd is concerned, a possible switch to Microsoft is impossible right now, as he only wants to stay with Oracle for the time being. “I’m very happy at Oracle, I plan on going nowhere,” he said.

Hurd told CNBC in an interview that he was very happy with his role at Oracle, but he refused to comment on any secret discussions with Microsoft on a possible switch to Redmond.

Talking about the software giant, Hurd explained that Microsoft “needs to work on their own business,” without actually providing any specifics.
