The hotly-anticipated Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S III has finally arrived in Australia.

According to AusDroid, Optus and Vodafone Galaxy S III models are now eligible for the upgrade, but Telstra’s might be in for the update as well.

As expected, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update has been made available both via Samsung Kies desktop software and OTA (over the air). Those who choose the latter method might want to connect their Galaxy S III devices to a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid data charges (if any).

If you haven’t been notified on the update you can check for it manually by going to Settings / About Phone / Software Update / Check now for update.

Keep in mind that this is an important update featuring the promised Premium Suite that packs lots of new goodies and improvements.
