Australian carrier Optus has just refreshed its Android OS update scheduler with new release dates. Samsung is expected to push through Jelly Bean for most of its devices, while HTC’s update for the One X has yet to arrive. The Taiwanese handset maker has already sent the Jelly Bean upgrade for HTC One X to the carrier. However, Optus claims that it's being tested and that it will arrive by mid-December.
The good news is that Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean upgrade has been approved by Optus and will soon be rolled out. The Galaxy S II will also receive it in early January, while the Galaxy S III 4G’s update is still under testing.
Samsung Galaxy Note is expected to receive Jelly Bean in the next few days, whereas the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 should get an Android 4.0.4 ICS any moment now.
The latter will also get a Jelly Bean upgrade, but
Optus is still waiting to receive it from Samsung.
Last but not least, the Australian carrier states that a Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Nexus has yet to come, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
