Television company CSC Holdings, LLC has released the Optimum WiFi Finder app enabling Optimum Online customers to locate Optimum WiFi hotspots, regardless of their existing Internet connection. The free app allows users to carry out quick, advanced, and "near me" searches for hotspots and get a map view (when connected), list view (when not connected) and detailed view of the hotspots in the area.
The app further offers directions to the closest Optimum WiFi hotspot and subscribers can save a list of favorite access points, and even hold a history of locations.
Requirements include an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), or an iPad (any generation will do), as well as iOS 4.3 or later.
