In her trip to Paris, Oprah Winfrey wanted to shop from designer bag store Hermes, but was turned away by shop assistants, who argued that they had been "having problems with North Africans".

A source told the New York Post's Page Six column that "when she tried the door, they refused her entry because they have been having trouble with North Africans." And he added that the assistants knew exactly who she was. "They knew exactly who she was".
They specifically said, 'We know who you are'".

"If it had been Celine Dion or Britney Spears or Barbra Streisand, there is no way they would not be let in that store".

Oprah Winfrey personally called Robert Chavez, president of Herm's in America to told him that she will never shop from his stores.

I read a report that she wanted to get in after the store was closed and got made when they would not let her in because they were closed. If that is true they had every right to refuse her entrance and any other person that wanted in after hours, no matter who they are! Celebrities are not special people at all!
