Oprah Wants Adam Lambert on Her Show

ABC might still be holding somewhat of a grudge against Adam Lambert, if ongoing reports are correct, Oprah Winfrey might be pulling all the strings to bring the American Idol singer onto her couch. Usually, the Queen of Television, as she’s been dubbed by the media, keeps mum about her guests, but a post on her website would seem to indicate that she’s after Adam for one of her upcoming shows.

“Calling ALL Adam Lambert Fans!!! Did you vote for him as many times as you could? Were you holding your breath when the new American Idol was announced, hoping and praying it would be HIM? If you are a HUGE fan of Adam Lambert’s, email us now and tell us why you want to be in the audience for this once-in-a-lifetime show,” the post in question reads.

At this point in time, this is about all that was made public regarding a possible, upcoming Lambert appearance on Oprah. Still, since the talk show star would never put something like this out there without a concrete plan in mind, it is very likely that fans of the singer will actually get to see him talk music and everything else with Oprah, word in the industry has it.

The New York Post, for one, is certain that the appearance is happening. “When Lambert was interviewed on the show briefly last October – for an episode about reality TV stars – the talk show host invited him back to perform after his CD was released. This would appear to be the make-good on that invitation. No date has been set yet,” says the publication.

Among the topics that will certainly be touched upon, we can probably already include the (in)famous American Music Awards ’09 performance, the ensuing backlash, the recently released album (of course) and, most importantly, details about a tour.
