14 DAY TRIAL // There is no limit to Oprah's generosity, the TV mogul that made a name for herself by surprising those less fortunate than her with often expensive gifts such as houses or cars, and on more than one occasion. The generous Winfrey will even go as far as to donate the clothes off her back to a fan that asked for one of her dresses.
The entire conversation took place on Twitter, where the fan, by her handle Snobaby Brandi, wrote to Oprah how beautiful she looked in her ivory dress on the cover of Essence Magazine. She said that she loved the dress and even went as far as asking if she could have it, knowing that the TV personality would never wear it again.
“You look beautiful in that essence cover pic. WOW. CAN I please have that dress? Cuz I know u won't wear again lol luv u,” her excited tweet read, which she probably threw out there as a joke, not thinking that she was actually going to get something out of the deal.
Much to her surprise, Oprah did send her a reply, and it was the answer to her request, “You're right I won't wear ever again contact my asst. and show her this tweet.” Simple and to the point, the tweet acknowledged that Oprah was never going to wear the dress again and announced that the garment was now ready to change hands.
One week later, Brandi received the dress, a white feather gown with a partial gray skirt and a bodice top, in her home in Atlanta. Very excited, she tweeted back to Oprah, confirming that she got her wish and her dress, along with plans that she intends to wear it to her wedding.
“Plan to wear at my wedding when I find a groom lol but will twt pic wearing it soon. Luv u to life!,” Brandi wrote Oprah. Meanwhile, Oprah has just released the trailer of her newest reality series about the troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, which features her last attempt to get her career back on track while dealing with the current issues in her life such as alcohol addiction and unresolved family matters.
