Chinese mobile phone maker Oppo has been long rumored to plan the launch of a successor for its Oppo Find 5 smartphone, one that should arrive on shelves as the Find 7, and an official confirmation on the handset has already emerged.

It comes in the form of a teaser image that Oppo posted on its Weibo account, which also claims that the device is coming soon. Furthermore, the company shared another teaser photo on its Facebook page, further confirming the handset’s name.

Unfortunately, a specific release date hasn’t been provided as of now, though rumor has it that the handset vendor is set to make the smartphone official in one or two months, as PhoneArena notes.

The hardware specifications list of the upcoming device hasn’t been officially unveiled as of now, but previous reports on it have already suggested that it would arrive on shelves as a high-end smartphone.

Oppo Find 7 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 2k (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, as well as a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor packed inside.

Furthermore, the handset should sport 3GB of RAM, while being powered by a 4000 mAh battery. Oppo Find 7 is also said to feature 4G LTE connectivity, which would make it the very first smartphone from the Chinese vendor to pack the functionality inside.

As far as rumor goes, Find 7 will also include a 13-megapixel camera on the back, supposedly capable of full HD video recording, as well as a 5MP front camera to allow users to video chat while on the go.

The smartphone is also expected to run under one of the latest flavors of Android, though it would certainly be a heavily customized one.

It should not be too long before Oppo starts providing us with some more details on the upcoming smartphone, so keep an eye on this space to learn the news.
