A new smartphone from the Chinese mobile phone maker Oppo has received the necessary approvals in China, namely the Oppo R829T.

The new mobile phone will arrive on shelves with mid to low-range hardware specifications packed inside, starting with its 5-inch touchscreen display that will be able to deliver only a 960 x 540 pixel resolution.

The handset will also pack 1GB of RAM inside, and should be powered by a quad-core Meditaek chip, info that emerged over at China’s Ministry of Communication unveils, GizChina reports.

Oppo’s new device is also said to sport an 8-megapixel camera on the back, which should pair well with its 5MP front camera.

Apparently, the device is set to land on shelves only with TD-SCDMA support, which suggests that it will not be sold outside China, at least not in the beginning.
