A new smartphone from the popular Chinese mobile phone maker Oppo has received the necessary approvals in the vendor's homeland market, namely the Oppo R827T.

The device, spotted at the Chinese telecoms authorities, will arrive on shelves with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 960 x 540 pixel resolution.

According to GSMInsider, the new device hits shelves with looks similar to those of Oppo Find 5, which suggests that it could be released as the mini flavor of this handset.

However, no official confirmation on this has been provided, though the hardware specifications that the new mobile phone will feature when made available were indeed unveiled, alongside a series of photos with it.

Thus, users will see it being powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, with 1GB of RAM inside. Oppo is also said to have included the new device with a microSD memory card slot for memory expansion, though no specific info on its internal storage was unveiled.

However, it is known that Oppo R827T will be launched with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with full HD video recording capabilities, and with a 2MP camera on the front.

It will be released with support for GSM and TD-SCDMA networks in China, as well as with Bluetooth connectivity options, FM Radio, GPS receiver, and a microUSB port. Oppo R827T measures 137x 68 x 7.75mm and weighs 128 grams.

Apparently, the new mobile phone will be launched in multiple color flavors, including Black, White and Blue. However, no specific details on when that might happen have been provided as of now.

Considering the fact that it has already received approvals from China’s Tenaa, Oppo R827T might become official in the not too distant future. Provided that things do happen this way, we’ll be able to learn more on Oppo’s plans for it, so stay tuned for the news.
