Chinese OEM Oppo unveiled its latest Android smarpthones, the R7 and R7 Plus, about a week ago. However, beginning today, those interested will be able to pre-order the Oppo R7 in Europe.

The good news is customers can now pre-order the Oppo R7 for just £260 ($395) outright via Amazon UK. Unfortunately, the smartphone won't ship until July 21, which is much later than what Oppo's announcement said.

Oppo stated last week that its R7 and R7 Plus smartphones would be available internationally starting mid-June, but Amazon UK now claims it won't ship the former until July.

Hopefully, that will change in the coming weeks, or at least other major retailers across Europe will ship the Oppo R7 earlier than July.

Oppo R7 comes with a mix of mid-range and high-end specs

Moving on to specs, the Oppo R7 is a pretty decent smartphone, though some would argue that it is a bit too expensive for a mid-range device.

For those who don't know, the smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

Also, the R7 packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB. The smartphone offers dual-SIM support, along with other connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS and GLONASS.

Oppo R7 sports a 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, there's a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, Schneider-Kreuznach optics and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front side there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera.

The R7 is powered by a 2,320 mAh battery and runs ColorOS 2.1, which is based on Google's Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
