Following the official launch of Oppo N1 in India earlier this week, Chinese mobile phone maker Oppo is getting ready for the release of some more smartphones in the country, and the R1 appears to be the next device that will have this fate.

According to the latest reports on the matter, the handset will be released in the country in a few months, though no specific release date has been provided as of now.

However, some tidbits on the possible pricing of the phone did emerge, suggesting that it could become available for around Rs. 25,000 ($399/€294), or even as much as Rs. 30,000 ($478/€353).

The device sports a sleek design, though its hardware specifications might not prove as appealing to many. It has a low-resolution display, a MediaTek processor inside, and 1GB of RAM. Hopefully, specifics on the matter will emerge soon, so stay tuned for more on this.
