Good news for Oppo fans, as the Chinese company has just taken the wraps off its smaller version of the N1, the Oppo N1 Mini. Although the smartphone was officially announced a few months ago, Oppo did not share any details on the N1 Mini’s specs sheet.

Well, it appears that the handset went on sale in Malaysia a few days ago, which means that we now know everything there is to know about Oppo N1 Mini’s specs.

First of all, we should mention that the N1 Mini is only available in Malaysia, but Oppo has already teased the smartphone in India, so we expect that the handset will go on sale in other countries as well.

Until then, customers in Malaysia can purchase the Oppo N1 Mini for RM 1,398 outright, which is about $440 or €325, GSMArena notes.

As mentioned earlier, Oppo N1 Mini is the smaller version of the Chinese company’s flagship smartphone, the N1, which was launched on the market late last year.

However, unlike the N1 that boasts a huge 5.9-inch display, the mini version sports a smaller, 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Oppo N1 Mini comes equipped with a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs 16GB of internal memory, which is everything one will get given the fact that Oppo N1 Mini lacks microSD card slot for storage expansion. This seems to be one of the few downsides of the smartphone, which also applies to its larger predecessor.

Another downside would be the fact that Oppo N1 Mini ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. In fact, the device is powered by Color OS, which is based on the older version of Android that we mentioned.

On the positive side, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel swivel camera that is capable of shooting 24-megapixel ultra HD pictures.

Connectivity-wise, Oppo N1 Mini does not seem to miss any options that an Android user would want, as the phone comes with 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, and microUSB. It’s also worth mentioning that the N1 Mini is powered by a 2140 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

Even though there is no confirmation on when the Oppo N1 Mini will arrive in other countries, we expect the Chinese company to announce plans to roll out the smartphone worldwide. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
