Chinese handset maker Oppo has just confirmed that it will bring the N1 smartphone in India. This seems to be the first device that Oppo officially introduces in India, but, hopefully, many more will follow.

The information comes via Gadgets to Use blog site, which claims that Oppo N1 will be officially launched in India on January 30.

The Chinese company has already started to send invitations for a press event on the mentioned date and the N1 is shown on these invites, so there’s no doubt that the phone will be announced next week.

Unfortunately, other than the fact that the Oppo N1 will be released in India on January 30, no other info on the smartphone has been disclosed.

We will probably know more on the N1’s availability and price tag early next week. It will be interesting to see whether Oppo will launch both 16GB and 32GB versions of the N1.

For those unfamiliar with the smartphone, Oppo N1 does not come with microSD card slot for memory expansion, which is why the amount of default storage available is so important.

It is also worth mentioning that the N1 comes with Oppo’s Color operating system, which is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Hopefully, the smartphone will receive a KitKat upgrade though we don’t have any info on this one.

On the inside, Oppo N1 is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Another selling point of the device would be the impressive 13-megapixel rotating camera that features autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The smartphone also boasts a huge 5.9-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. The phone is powered by a high-capacity 3610 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
