Chinese OEM Oppo has just confirmed that its recently announced Find 7 flagship smartphone will be available for purchase in India by the middle of the year.

This means that Android enthusiasts and fans of Google’s mobile platform should expect the powerful Oppo Find 7 to arrive in India by June.

The information has been confirmed by Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India, who has also confirmed that customers in India should expect at least 6 new smartphones to be launched in the country by the end of 2014.

The Chinese company has announced it plans to expand its operations on the Indian smartphone market, which is why it will open brick and mortar stores across the country in order to provide better services to its customers, fonearena reports.

“India is emerging as the fastest growing smartphone market in the world. As such, we’re very optimistic about the growth of the OPPO brand, which is known globally for its superior technology and innovative products.

The OPPO N1 marked our entry into the Indian market and our forthcoming products including the soon-to-be-launched OPPO Find 7 will enable us to replicate our global success story here. We are also aggressively focusing on steady market expansion and after-sales service network in order to enhance our customer outreach and satisfaction,” said Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India.

For the time being, Oppo runs its business in 12 important Indian cities: New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Pune and Lucknow.

The Oppo Find 7 has been priced in China at 3,500 yuan ($565 / €405) outright, but the smartphone will certainly be available for various amounts in different regions.

No word on the phone’s price tag in India yet, but given the fact that this is an emerging market, we should expect it to be priced accordingly.

For those unfamiliar with Oppo’s Find 7 smartphone, here is a quick recap. The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and no less than 3GB of RAM.

The phone packs an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual-LED flash, autofocus and 4K video recording, as well as a no less impressive 5-megapixel secondary camera in the front.
