After a bit of teasing, BioWare has now revealed the full list of details about this weekend’s new multiplayer challenge: Operation Raptor, in which rewards will be given out to those who promote their characters in Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode.

Mass Effect 3 has already impressed lots of people with its single-player story and now many players are indulging in the game’s online mode.

In order to keep them interested, BioWare has now revealed the full details about this weekend’s special challenge, in the form of Operation Raptor.

Starting on Friday, March 30, at 5PM PST, and until Monday, April 2, at 5AM PST, players will have to do two things.

The first individual goal is to promote at least two of their characters. Those who do this will receive a special Commendation Pack with special items for the multiplayer.

The second, allied goal is to have the community promote over 150,000 characters during the weekend. Once this is achieved, Victory Packs, which include a unique N7 weapon, will be given to players.

“Commendation Packs will be awarded to individual soldiers who complete their training, and a Victory Pack will be awarded to everyone if the Allied Goal is achieved,” BioWare has revealed. “Packs will be available to download the following week. Please note that participants need to set “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to “on” in the online options to be able to participate in Operation Raptor.”

This special operation will be available, like previous ones, on the PC and Xbox 360. BioWare has revealed that it’s working with Sony to let PlayStation 3 owners benefit from these challenges but, as of yet, it can’t say for sure when this will happen.

As such, until this Friday, players will have to work hard and get their characters ready for promotion by reaching level 20. Bear in mind, however, that the special rewards won’t stack, meaning you won’t get two Commendation packs for promoting four characters.
