Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters have initiated phase three of Operation Ababil. On Thursday, we learned that the sites of financial institutions such as Bank of America, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Citibank, PNC and Fifth Third Bank were disrupted.

However, these aren’t the only United States banks targeted by the hacktivists in the first week of Operation Ababil 3.

Hilf-ol-Fozoul reported that the sites of HSBC and US Bank were also temporarily disrupted on Thursday.

In addition to HSBC and US Bank, sitedown.co also shows reports from users complaining about not being able to access the site of BB&T.

KeyBank, Huntington and Chase were also reported as being inaccessible, but only by a smaller number of users.

In the second phase of Operation Ababil, the hacktivists revealed the names of the banks they were about to attack, saying that they were confident they could disrupt the websites even if the victims were warned.

It remains to be seen if in this phase of the operation they'll start naming the targets before launching attacks.
