Opera may have lost some of its popularity, but that doesn’t mean that the web browser didn’t have a full year. According to the company’s Year in Review, Opera was quite the busy bee in 2013.

In February, the company reached 300 million monthly users for its browser products, while in May, a new Opera browser for Android was released along with a lot of new features and a new user interface.

“In July, we announced and released our newest desktop browser for Windows and Mac. We began with Opera 15 for in the Stable version. While the new desktop browser comes with the new features Speed Dial, Stash, and Discover, it still came with Opera’s best-loved features like Off-Road Mode (previously called Turbo). Our Stable stream is now at version 18, Next stream at 19, and Developer stream at 20,” the message reads.

Then, a month later, Opera joined Facebook, along with many other top technology companies for Internet.org, a project that hopes to bring Internet to everyone in the world. The same month, Opera also had a big anniversary, as the company turned 18.

In September, Opera delivered Coast by Opera, a new tablet browser, while a month later, it expanded its offices in Silicon Valley.

In the last two months of 2013, Opera updated the Android browser with a new interface for tablets and announced Opera Max, an app that can help save data traffic on your device by compressing videos, images and text.

Opera is one of the biggest innovators when it comes to web browsers, but it has lost some of its popularity in recent years, mainly due to competitors such as Chrome and Firefox.

For the year that has just started, Opera plans to continue working on creating “the best products and services” that enable users to go online and get access to information.
