The stable version of Opera has just received a new set of improvements on both Windows and Mac OS X, so users running the app right now on any of these two platforms are recommended to update as soon as possible.

Opera Web Browser 23.0.1522.75 comes with the most recent stability fixes, according to the development team, while also trying to make sure that the Chromium engine is up to date for better reliability on both Windows and Mac OS X.

The application continues to work on every single Windows version out there, including the old Windows XP, which no longer receives updates and security patches from Microsoft. No visual changes are available in this particular build, as most improvements have been made under the hood for enhanced performance on the supported desktop platforms.

Keep in mind that only the Windows and Mac OS X builds are receiving these updates, as the Linux flavor is still part of the development channel and could see daylight as a stable version sometime in the coming months.

In the end, this new update clearly comes in handy to everyone running the stable build of Opera, so hit the download links below to get the version that’s working on your desktop platform.
