A new snapshot for Opera 12 has just been released. It is a stability release, so there are no new features available, just fixes that increase the stability of the web browser.

Build 1306 of Opera Next takes care of several crash bugs occurring after typing numbers in the address bar or after logging into Opera Link, or simply using the shortcut action “Manage Keyboard.”

However, there are some platform-specific bugs the development team managed to eliminate. On Windows, they fixed the problem with showing the favicon in Windows Jump List. On the same note, files set to open with default application would lead to error after the default program was removed.

Mac users can use the “Open in Background Window” option properly, as the new instance no longer opens in the foreground.

On Linux, the developer fixed a crash on startup after installing some themes, such as Monster.
