The highly-acclaimed Opera Mobile 12 browser for Android devices has just received a new update that promises to further the overall performance and stability of the application.

Version 12.0.4 comes with improved handling of meta-tag “format detection,” as well as better keyboard handling on Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich devices.

In addition, the latest update brings improved flash handling on ICS-based devices, but also Android 4.1 Jelly Bean compatibility. Some overall stability and performance improvements have been included as well.

Keep in mind that the software is still plagued by a known issue that seems to flash crashes on some CyanogenMod 9 devices.

Opera Mobile 12.0.4 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 1.6 and up. Check it out here.
