Norwegian software company Opera Software has just announced the signing of an agreement with TCL Communication Technology Holdings Ltd., aimed at the delivery of Opera Mini to TCL Communication’s multiple platforms.

Moreover, the company announced that, as part of the agreement, the mobile browser would get pre-installed on TCL Communication’s mobile products.

TCL Communication is one of the leading mobile phone manufacturers in the world, with a line of mobile solutions aimed at end users and market operators. The company has its products delivered to more than 150 countries all around the world.

“Today’s consumers demand a convenient and powerful mobile browser, as 3G becomes more and more popular,” said Thomas Liu, Chief Finance Officer of TCL Communication. “We are excited to bring the value and benefits of Opera Mini to our users.”

Currently, Opera Mini is seen as the most popular mobile browser on the global market, with over 66 million users taking advantage of it all around the world.

The new agreement is expected to bring a fast and fun browsing experience to all users of TCL Communication products.

Opera Mini comes with a unique technology through which data is compressed by up to 90 percent before content is being sent to the handset, which results in faster page loads and lower browsing costs.

At the same time, the mobile application comes with features similar to those present on the desktop version, including tabbed browsing, password manager, bookmarks and Speed Dial.
