Opera and Vodafone have just announced that even more users can now enjoy a customized flavor of Opera Mini on their devices, as the application has just arrived in Cyprus too.

The special new flavor of the mobile browser was released on handsets available at Cytamobile-Vodafone, the very first wireless carrier in the country to provide users with the most popular mobile browser in the world.

This special flavor of Opera Mini comes to devices with all of the features that any user would expect from a mobile browser to include.

With it, mobile phone users will enjoy fast browsing, along with a sleek interface, tabbed browsing, as well as fast access to favorite websites.

The most appealing feature of the new device is the fact that users can install it on a wide range of devices, not only smartphones.

“Opera Mini has 121.7 million users across the globe and growing,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “Through our extended partnership with Cytamobile-Vodafone, more people in Cyprus will now experience the fastest web surfing on their mobiles.”

The new release is based on the agreement that Opera and Vodafone Group Services signed a while ago, and which is aimed at bringing the Internet to a wider range of customers.

Opera Mini arrives in Cyprus not only with various features that are already popular, such as the data and cost saving compression technology, but also with a series of capabilities specific to the country and carrier.

Thus, the new special flavor of Opera Mini comes with Speed Dial shortcuts that will get users to Cytamobile-Vodafone’s unique portfolio of products and services, or to some of the most popular local websites.

“This partnership is aligned with our overall strategy to offer innovative and comprehensive communication solutions so as to facilitate and above all to enrich our customers’ communication and entertainment,” said Yiannis Souroullas, CMO of Cyta.

“Opera Mini offers our customers an excellent browsing experience, even on mobile phones with small screens.”
