Norwegian software company Opera Software announced today the release of new beta versions of its mobile Internet browsers, Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10. Both of the new versions are available for download for free and are said to deliver to mobile phone users the same experience that the desktop flavor of Opera's browser can offer.
According to the company, the second beta versions of
Opera Mini 5 and Opera Mobile 10 come with some popular desktop features, including Opera Link and Download Manager, which can now be used directly on mobile devices. Moreover, Opera also notes that the release of the new flavors is yet another step it takes towards the unification of its browsing solutions.
Opera Link, one of the new features that are now available for users of mobile phones, enables people to synchronize
the browser from their handset with the Opera browser installed on their desktop computer. Moreover, they will also be able to sync all of their connected devices, so that bookmarks, Speed Dial and search engines are always at hand. As for the Download Manager that is now available on cell phones, it enables users to “control and speed up downloads to mobile phones.”

When it comes to the unification of its browsing solutions,
Opera stresses on the fact that the features included within the new beta releases are meant to show exactly that. Users will enjoy a unified look across all of its browser products, including the Speed Dial visual bookmarks, or the tabbed browsing.
