With its particular vision on what it means to search the Web, Answers.com is expanding its presence into the virtual world.

GuruNet Corporation, creators of Answers.com has signed a partnership with Opera Software. The objective is to incorporate Answers.com content directly into Opera's browser and Web portal.

This way, Opera users will have access to the full suite of Answers.com content
and services via a co-branded version of Answers accessible via Opera's built-in dropdown search toolbar.

Answers will also be available through the Encyclopedia, Dictionary, and Translate menu items in the right-click context menus, as well as through Answers.com content that is directly integrated into Opera's portal home page. The companies will share revenue generated by users visiting the co-branded content pages.

"Opera continues to create innovative products and services that appeal to dedicated, cutting-edge surfers looking for a better Internet browsing experience," explained GuruNet Chief Revenue Officer Jeff Cutler. "We are confident that this enhancement to the Opera product line will be of tremendous value to their loyal users, help attract new fans, and increase usage and traffic for both companies."

The integration of Answers.com is due to the fact that Opera focuses on delivering advanced Web technologies and offering features that other browsers don't.
