Opera Software, through Aneta Reluga, has announced on the last day of March 2015 that new updates for the Opera 29 Beta and Opera Developer 30 web browsers are available for download and testing, bringing several new features and various improvements.

While Opera 29.0 build 1795.30 Beta is now based on the upstream Chromium 42.0.2311.60 web browser and includes a couple of fixes, the Opera 30.0 build 1820.0 Dev introduces real tab cycling inspired from the classic version of the web browser. This will allow the user to cycle tabs in the order of the most-recently used tabs. Of course, you will still be able to cycle tabs from left to right.

“Today, we released Opera Developer 30.0.1820.0,” says Aneta Reluga. “This build re-envisions some of the classic Opera tab behaviors. You can now cycle tabs in order of the most-recent tabs used; and, if you use Opera’s sync services, you can see your open tabs from other devices in the tab menu.”

This option has been implemented in Opera 30 Dev and can be enabled from “Browser -> User interface -> Cycle tabs in most recently used order.” In addition, you will also be able to see the tabs left open on your other devices where the Opera web browser is installed, but only if you’re using Opera’s sync services.

Opera 30 Dev brings two new sections in the tab menu

Another interesting feature implemented in the latest Opera 30 Dev build is the improved tab menu, which just received two new sections. The first one is called “Recently Closed” and will allow you to view the last three closed tabs. The second one is called “Other Devices” and lets users view tabs opened on other devices where Opera is installed.

Download Opera 29 Beta and Opera 30 Dev for Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia. Keep in mind, though, that these are unstable applications and are not recommended for production environments.
