Opera is one of the browsers that got updated today, with the developer version receiving several improvements and bug fixes.

Opera Web Browser 18.0.1284.26 Next is mostly aimed at improving performance on both Windows and Mac, so users running this particular pre-release version of the browser should notice faster page loading times and less crashes.

The release notes point out that this build updates the Chromium engine to 1650.48, while also addressing bugs affecting the speed dial thumbnails and the address bar text selection.

What’s more, adding a search engine shouldn’t highlight the Google favicon in the dropdown menu anymore, while some translations are now supposed to be a bit more accurate.

Don’t forget that it’s still a beta version, so a number of bugs and other performance issues might still be experienced on both Windows and Mac.
