Build 1325 of the web browser brings to the table better handling of that space by filling it with as large a description of the suggested link as possible.
Also new in this revision are the favicons, which have been a long time request from the users. However, the default configuration does not have them turned on and you have to check the Preferences Editor (opera:config) to enable them (opera:config#show favicons); a restart is required for the change to take effect.
