Stability improvements, removes platform-specific glitches

A new release candidate emerged today for Opera 12. Although dubbed “Euro 2012 edition,” the change log shows no soccer-related entry. However, it integrates fixes that improve the stability of the application.

The development team kicked out some glitches that affected HTML5 Drag and Drop, repaired plug-in logging so that crashes are now recorded and fixed faulty interaction with some major websites.

Some platform-specific issues have also been ousted. On Windows, the browser would not react to keyboard input after switching from other applications, while on Mac, users were not able to drag text to certain other applications.

As far as the version for Linux/BSD is concerned, Ctrl+TAB cycler window crashed when closed if drag-n-drop was active.

Also, “opera.extension.tabs” did not return the correct attributes for tabs that visit pages by typing in the address bar.

Hopefully, Opera 12 stable will kick off next week and there won’t be any overtime.
