Shinier icon, features only a handful of fixes available

The latest snapshot for the upcoming Opera 12 contains several crash fixes, but the highlight in the change log is the brushed-up icon for the application.

It’s not an entirely new look, in fact, some may not even notice the differences at a first glance (so feel free to analyze them in the enlarged image above). The new image displays firmer lines and a more vibrant color, making the old one look washed away and dusted.

Apart from changing the icon, the development team also improved the overall performance of the browser. They got rid of crashes occurring when closing a page during scrolling or when trying to install auto-update. An SSL crash has also been eliminated.

Additional work has been done to prevent losing the proper DOM event type in some cases and the crash of the browser on exit, while loading a large session file.
