It performs DNS look-ups for the links the mouse moves over

The latest development build from Opera sports DNS prefetching, a feature designed to cut down on the time necessary for loading a web page, which ultimately results in faster browsing.

However, the prefetching will not occur for all links in a page, only for those the user moves the mouse over, since they are likely to be clicked. Opera will only perform DNS look-ups and no destination resources will be preloaded. On the same note, the DNS is resolved for HTTP links only and look-ups are restricted to five every second.

Apart from this, the new snapshot also features repairs. The developer delivered a fix for incorrect rendering of text-shadow, missing thread starter messages from IMAP sent folder view or incorrect behavior when trying to open content in a background window.
