Opera just released a new snapshot for version 11.60. The latest build is 1178 and the team estimates that development is in straight line to release candidate stage.
The focus with this new release is on stability, so new features have not been bundled in. Instead, there are numerous crash fixes and all sorts of bugs have been squashed.
The mail component went through a serious session of repairs touching on compose window, contact list, keyboard shortcuts, context menus or group headers.
Other modifications include Speed Dial related crashes as well as aligning various elements in the correct position.
There is still some brushing up to be done for the stable release to be updated to version 11.60, but from now on there should mostly be minor details to attend to.
