A lot of other packages have been updated in this release

OpenSUSE, a free and Linux-based operating system for PCs, laptops or servers that you can use to surf the web, manage your e-mails and photos, do office work, and play videos or music, is now at version 13.1 Milestone 2.

According to the developers, this release is not fully functional, not to mention stable. The full version is expected to arrive in November 2013.

Highlights of OpenSuSE 13.1 Milestone 2:

• The Live CDs are now using overlays, with persistent hybrid support; • automake has been updated to version 1.13.2; • Evolution has been updated to version 3.9.1; • The Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.10 RC4.
