OpenMW, an open source implementation of The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind game engine and functionality, is now at version 0.27.0.

OpenMW, or OpenMorrowind, is an ambitious project that aims to bring one of best role-playing games ever created into the open source world.

Highlights of OpenMW 0.27.0:

• The Acrobatics, God Mode, and torch extinguishing have been implemented; • The breath meter is now changing its color when it is running low; • Decimal numbers are now displaying correctly in the UI; • The camera is now lowering while sneaking; • The ambient sounds are now playing while the game is paused; • A script instruction to allow the Quick Character Creation plugin to work has been fixed; • OpenCS content editor has been implemented (early alpha stages).

A complete list of changes and new features can be found in the official announcement.

Users must legally own and install the game before they can use OpenMW – as it is intended – to play Morrowind. Download OpenMW 0.27.0 right now from Softpedia.
