14 DAY TRIAL // The popular mobile social gaming network OpenFeint has just announced the availability of its game discover application Game Channel for Android devices.
According to OpenFeint, more than 128 million users will be able to take advantage of new Android titles that were only available on the iOS plaform.
Although new Android games will be introduced soon, Game Channel will mainly focus on free-to-play gaming.
Game Channel app promises to offer mobile standard and free-to-play developers a range of convenient options meant to their exposure and grow their player base.
As the Android gaming market continues to mature and contend with the iOS gaming ecosystem, game discovery still poses a significant problem for Android developers and consumers.

Game Channel offers devs the possibility to highlight one of their games for an extended period of time to make it more popular among players.
In addition, a new free-to-play game will be available for download each day. To make things more interesting, some of these games will also include free in-app items.
Seasonal and promotional selections will also be offered according to OpenFeint's calendar. These will be displayed by a rotating list that changes with seasons, holidays, and select themes.
Obviously, the application enables Android users access to OpenFeint’s social features directly from the Game Channel.
OpenFeint Game Channel is now available as a free download from Android Market and is compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
