14 DAY TRIAL // OpenELEC, an embedded operating system built specifically to run XBMC, the open source entertainment media hub, is now at version 3.2.
After countless development version, the final version in the 3.2 branch has arrived. This current release is based on XBMC Frodo (12.x), but it also integrates a large number changes that are specific to this distribution.
First of all, OpenELEC 3.2 is based on Linux kernel 3.10. This is no longer the latest stable branch, but it's still one of the newest available.
The distribution features ALSA 1.0.2.7, updated graphic drivers from AMD, Intel and nVidia, newer XVBA, VDPAU and VAAPI libraries , support for many more remotes and keymaps, and much, much more.
