OpenELEC 3.0 RC5 Gets Small Network Fixes

OpenELEC, an embedded operating system built specifically to run XBMC, the open source entertainment media hub, is now at version 3.0 RC5.

This current development release is based on XBMC 12.0 Frodo, a free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub for digital media available for multiple platforms.

Highlights of OpenELEC 3.0 RC5:

• Some issues found in the previous RC4 release have been corrected;
• A lot of bugfixes to XBMC Frodo have been added;
• Some Network fixes have been implemented.

A complete list of changes can be found in the official announcement. According to the developers, this is one of the last release candidates before the final version.

Download OpenELEC 3.0 RC5 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
