The second annually worldwide Partner Summit has opened its doors. Hosted by Open-Xchange, in Cologne, Germany, the event will be covered by Softpedia at the invitation of Open-Xchange.

Open-Xchange continues to add new functionality to their great product, Open-Xchange Server, by introducing the Open-Xchange Microsoft Outlook Uploader, which is actually a data migration app especially created for Microsoft Outlook users who want to move their e-mails, appointments, contacts, or tasks to the Open-Xchange Server.

Open-Xchange also made an agreement with the eZuce company in order to provide unified communications for enterprises with up to 10,000 users, by combining groupware and e-mail with video, voice, instant messaging, conferencing, presence, smartphone support, and call center.

Moreover, LinuxMagic announced that they will incorporate Open-Xchange's software in its MagicMail offering, which is designed as a turn-key solution for telcos and ISPs with 2,000 to 200,000 users. The MagicMail offering brings integrated anti-spam protection and support from LinuxMagic.

Open-Xchange made a deal with Scality, an object storage software developer, in order to provide ISPs, telcos, and large web hosters with massively-scalable cloud storage and e-mail.

Last but not least, the latest software update for the Open-Xchange Server, introduced in September, offers users more than 100 enhancements for e-mail, address book, calendar, task management, and document.

In addition, the Open-Xchange Server 6.18.1 introduces new "Social OX" capabilities, which simplify the aggregation of contact information and e-mail from external mail services in order to make sharing documents very easy, without the need to send large e-mail attachments.

Support for Japanese language was also added by Open-Xchange in their open source software. Open-Xhange also offers support for English, Dutch, German, Spanish, and French languages.
