Enyo 1.0 is now available for all webOS devices via Preware, courtesy of a new 3.79MB package.

Thus, the open source Enyo 1.0 app framework arrives on legacy devices as well, since there were some of them that did not receive the software in October when HP pushed it along with Bing Maps.

“Enyo 1.0 is now available as an installable open source package in Preware for devices that cannot get the maps update,” WebOS Internals notes in a recent tweet.

With the framework installed on devices, users will be able to head to the App Catalog (the webOS app store) and get a taste of the applications that require it.

Unfortunately, Bing Maps will not be among them, and we hear that HP is the one to decide whether it will arrive on legacy devices or not.
