Open Advice book, a knowledge collection from a wide variety of Free Software projects that answers the question what 42 prominent contributors would have liked to know when they started, is now available for purchase.

The book is edited by Lydia Pintscher who is part of KDE Community Working Group and is the Google Summer of Code Coordinator for KDE.

Open Advice is a collection of short essays about key things the authors wished they had known when they started contributing to Free Software. It’ll give a headstart to everyone who wants to contribute. It’ll also be useful for existing contributors who want to know a bit more about other projects and areas of contribution,” said Lydia Pintscher on her blog.

The book is available as a paperback and free PDF and is licensed under CC-BY-SA. If you need more information about the book, just check out the official website.
