Anonymous hackers continue OpGabon. Their latest target is gabonactu.com, a news website that, according to the hackers, is controlled by the Gabonese government.

“We have Liberated the Ali Bongo/regime owned media sites database from gabonactu.com, for the rights of freedom of press,” the hackers said.

“These are brilliant minds that are employed under a regime news organization. These talented journalist as well as a profound number of Gabonese bloggers SHOULD truly be able to express their rights as journalist/bloggers without the fear being of prosecuted,” they added.

The hacktivists have leaked the details of 171 gabonactu.com users and the credentials of the site’s administrator.

“There has been wide media blackout on various important situations that refer to Gabon. The Bongo regime has issued fear and oppression in the minds of the many journalist, bloggers, and news-writers. Thus, getting the real issues out to mainstream media has been quite the challenge,” the hackers explained.

On Monday, Anonymous hackers supporting OpGabon claimed to have breached the systems of Comilog, the world’s second largest producer of high-grade manganese ore.
